65mm Series Overview

The 65mm series CNC drag chain (bridge type) is a reinforced, heavy-duty cable carrier molded from 30% glass-fiber reinforced PA66 nylon. With 65mm inner height, this series is specifically engineered for long-travel and heavy-load applications where standard 45mm or 55mm nylon drag chains reach their structural limits. Available internal widths range from 50mm to 300mm, making this one of the largest standard bridge-type series in our lineup. Also referred to as 65mm cable carrier, 65mm cable chain, or 65mm cable track.

When to Choose the 65mm Series

The 65mm series is the right choice when your application exceeds the capacity of standard 45mm or 55mm nylon cable chains. It is specifically designed for long-travel distances (typically over 5-8 meters unsupported), very heavy cable loads, and high-cycle operations where structural fatigue becomes a concern. The reinforced side links and optimized crossbar design eliminate sagging and prevent the "snaking" effect that occurs in standard chains under heavy loads.

This series is ideal for gantry systems with extended strokes, large-format laser and plasma cutting tables, heavy-duty CNC machines with substantial cable bundles, and automated production lines requiring stable, zero-interruption performance over long travel distances.

Not recommended for: compact machines with limited routing space, or applications with small cable bundles that would be better served by our 45mm series.

Material - Reinforced 30% Glass-Fiber PA66

Our 65mm series CNC drag chain is molded from 30% glass-fiber reinforced PA66 nylon with enhanced structural reinforcement. This material formulation delivers exceptional strength and impact resistance, making it well-suited for the repeated flexing, heavy loads, and mechanical stress encountered in long-travel, heavy-duty CNC applications. The glass-fiber reinforcement provides superior wear resistance, with a service life exceeding 10 million cycles under normal operating conditions.

The material maintains stable performance from -40°C to +130°C, resists oils, coolants, and mild acids/alkalis. Operating noise is kept below 60dB.

Bridge Type - Key Advantages

The bridge type (open top) design provides fast heat dissipation, easy cable installation with the help of a screwdriver, and visual inspection capability. The cnc cable chain is significantly lighter than steel alternatives — about one-third the weight — reducing the load on your machine's drive system

The 65mm series is purpose-built for long-travel, heavy-load applications where smaller series cannot maintain structural integrity. Typical applications include:

♦Gantry systems – large-format CNC gantry machining centers, gantry robots with extended travel distances

♦Large-format laser and plasma cutting tables – where long-axis strokes require stable cable management over 5+ meters

♦Heavy-duty CNC machines – large machining centers, heavy-duty lathes with substantial cable and hose bundles

♦Automated warehouses and logistics systems – long-travel material handling equipment, shuttle systems

♦Port handling equipment – container cranes, heavy lifting systems requiring long-travel cable management

♦Industrial robotics – heavy robot transfer units (RTUs) and 7th-axis systems requiring long travel

For machines with smaller routing spaces or lighter cable loads, we recommend our 45mm or 55mm series instead.
